​Author-illustrator Theadora Whittington’s interest in the importance of biodiversity long before it became popular is the main inspiration behind her three picture books that were published in Hong Kong, written specifically for children there, and two of which were endorsed by WWF (Hong Kong).  Holder of an MA in Children Book Illustration from the Cambridge School of Art, she uses varied techniques of Chinese ink painting, paper sculpture, water colours, collaged photographs, and brush drawing to illustrate her books.
